We stopped by this road sign which I thought was really unusual, don’t think I have ever seen the word hand on a road sign before.
We stopped in a traffics build up and Tina said she thought this was definitely a ‘Jan photo’! Well, I thought it was an interesting shot!!
We stopped at an auction centre near Caenby Corner on the way home. It is apparently the largest auction centre in Europe and has several building full to the rafters with antiques owned by hundreds of different dealers. This was one of the buildings and they were loading vans as people were buying, it was pretty busy, but very good one way systems.
We did had a sandwich and drink there after spending over an hour in just one of the buildings! This unusual planter was at the entrance of the cafe area.
A quick look in another building and then we were on our way home, I was struggling to stay awake, we have both had a great, but very tiring trip. The next photos don’t need explanation.
Quiet evening and an early night is in order I think.
I quite like your first photo, very arty. Quite a pretty flower too.
ReplyDeleteI’ve seen that road sign many a time over the years when are used to fix TVs for living. I used to get out that way quite a bit then. Like you I’ve never seen another one with the word hand on.
Tina was right the picture with the diggers is definitely a Jan shot.
I hadn’t realised that the auction house was such a big place. Looks like you could spend a whole day there wondering round looking at stuff. Did you actually see anything you fancied though and will you be tempted to go back again for another look?
For an “ordinary” bridge, it’s a great thing. I like actually standing on it as the traffic hurtles by and you can look up at the huge towers! Gives you a better sense of just how big it is!
Enjoy your quiet evening, if it stays quiet that is.
The walkway on the bridge is closed at the moment as there have been a few suicides recently. But they plan to reopen it again at some point but with more safety measures.
DeleteWe did buy a couple of small bits at the antique place, a delightful little ‘salt’ and some butter knives, will add a picture of the salt tomorrow.
