I went along Newbegin and called in at several shops, I went quite early so it wasn’t too busy. I had messaged my hairdresser first thing and she had said she could cut my hair today. Good to see them again and the price hasn’t gone up either. The hair is pretty short now but a good cut as usual.
I have been struggling with the aches and pains and have been very tired just lately. Tina came in with a naughty present to cheer me up, think it may just have to live indoors!
His afternoon I went out into the garden. The area I had strimmed a few weeks back is completely overrun with ground elder. I decided it needed to be dug out!
Spent just over an hour and didn’t make an awful lot of headway. Filled the garden cart and those roots on the top had still broken at the tips they were so long.
It will take a few sessions, the bit I have done will need digging again as there will be plenty of roots left it!
Had a cup of tea in the garden with Tina and then we had a walk round to see the plants. The bees love the sea holly as much as we do!
No plans this evening, tea and tv I think!
Not too busy a day by your standards, but hard enough with that digging. That’s only a tiny piece of the garden and it looks like it take a good five or six one hour sessions to clear it! It’d depress me! Still I think the pig would cheer anyone up. It lovely. Think I’d keep it indoors too. Seems a shame to leave it out in the elements.
ReplyDeleteThe hair looks nice and short is good as you don’t know when you’ll get it cut again. We could all be back in lockdown by the next time it needs doing!
Those thistles would make a good watercolour.
Not a bad day, nice to get my hair cut and catch up with Carol and Sal, they are such a nice friendly couple.
DeleteThat bed will take some clearing and the bit I have done will need digging again as there is such a lot of root.
The pig is gorgeous, must find a good home for him.
