Sitting up here once the birds and cats were seen to I saw that the window seat was looking wet! No, not wet, I hadn’t put the top on the varnish properly and it had fallen over and oozed out during the night! I made that cover for the window seat, and me being me there were things scattered about to end up sitting in the mess!
I removed all obstacles and scraped the still liquid parts away, if you are going to make a mess do a good job of it!
Luckily the bottom is covered in the same material so once it is completely dry I can turn it over! Took a picture of the front flower bed, now very yellow, when I went to get the garden bin in.
I decided to don the mask and catch the bus up to Freeport. Only a couple of other people on the bus and the windows were all open.
It was pretty busy there so I just popped in The Works and then had a coffee sat outside one of the cafes. Really liked this hydrangea.
Tina arrived home a while after me and came with gifts, nice biccies for this evening!
She had also been playing with Heather’s fancy sewing machine and I now have a lovely little gecko!
Darren went to archery and Tina suggested we have a cuppa by the sea, which was nice as always. We had a bit of a wander and I took her to see the bug hotel as well.
Cuppa and biscuits now I think!
Hopefully the splints and chair combined will achieve the perfect night......I’ll check up on that tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteWhat a mess the varnish made. But if you’re going to make a mess then make it a big one! Hope the cat doesn’t decide to have a nap on it while it’s still wet. You’d have a cat to scrape off then too 😊 You’ll never know it happened once you turn it over.
The yellow flowers do you look good, specially with that little bit of pink and white in the corner too. Gardens are lovely when they produce views like that. Pity you have to do so much work to achieve it.
You look like Spider-Man, or Woman on the bus. Good to get out for a little trip like that. Hopefully the novelty of going out will wear off with some of the people and it’ll start to quieten down a bit. But a coffee and a mooch are still good.
A vicar bearing gifts, what more could you ask for, specially as they are such nice gifts. Not many biscuits left I bet.
Cuppa by the sea too. A pretty good day really, apart from little spillage, but we won’t talk about that.
It was a mess, I have turned it over and a small patch has seeped right through! Maybe I can do something about it when it dries.
DeleteThe yellow flowers a re lovely and lots more buds to open yet.
Good to get on the bus, just a short trip and very few people to get me back into the swing of things!
Yes, nice presents and a pleasant little trip to finish the day off.
