Carried on with general housework after I had been to the shop for eggs and flour. Did make a few raisin buns, not sultana so when Tina gets home she will eat them too! I just did some drizzle icing on the top, tried one and it was quite tasty.
After lunch I carried on with the chores and then rally felt like going out. But Walking anywhere isn’t good at the moment and I imagine the sea front would be pretty busy if the town was anything to go by. I checked to see if the mere was open as it is not to far, but on on a Tuesday! Thought about getting the bus to Freeport but know the family aren’t too keen on me getting on public transport, so decided to stay put in the end. I did go and get mealworms into containers in the greenhouse as I needed to open the new delivery. Loving the flowers on the succulents on the rockery.
I got the plants that I got for a fiver yesterday and had left on the bench out the front into the back garden. Will try and get them planted tomorrow.
End to a less than great afternoon, just can’t get the last picture to load!
A real shame that your day went downhill after a good start. Although sleeping in a recliner doesn’t sound the best of choices, if it actually does the trick and keeps the pain away then it’s worth it. Nothing worse than wanting to go out and having nowhere to go. You’ll have to go out on a rainy day when all the visitors are staying at home. Roll on winter 😊
ReplyDeleteThe rockery is looking really good. The plants are spreading quite well.
The buns look good. Do you think there’ll be any left for the Rev once you and Darren get stuck into them?😊
Hopefully there will be one or two left when Tina returns!
DeleteTime will tell with the new sleeping arrangement, so many times ai thought ai had cracked it!
That rockery where the steps used to be is a delight and it looks like it has always been there now!
