I have now been sleeping on the recliner chair for a few nights, but it has begun to have a life of its own with the back moving with no assistance! Sleeping on it last night was a little disconcerting as it was clicking and moving, I was in danger of the blood running to my head! This morning I went with Tina to return the broken hedgehog house and then we went to the mobility shop over the road in Hornsea. Lovely guy and a good, of fairly expensive chair in there ready to go. He was hopeful that he could get it to us today and remove the old one, but in the end he couldn’t get hold of his partner so may have to wait until Friday. When we told him about the behaviour of the old chair he sits ‘unplug it’. So the plan for tonight is that I have an extension lead by the bed and once I have it in position unplug the chair. It stays in the place it is left when not connected. Just hope I don’t knock the plug or extension lead down or I won’t be able to get off the chair!Apart from that general excitement and making sure there is a clear run for items to be brought in and taken out, I have done some more weeding and clearing in the front garden, lots of traffic and people, a few talked to me to comment on the house or garden.
I didn’t photograph the area I worked on, but have take some of the different plants, a lot of yellow!
The spiky yellow flowers attract different bees and hover flies.
We may try going to a small market in the village of Leven tomorrow morning.
Hope the old chair makes it a few more nights until the posh new one arrives. Make sure you have your phone at hand tonight in case you have to ring Tina to rescue you! I have visions of you hanging upside down and not being able to move 😊
ReplyDeleteHope you didn’t go too mad with the weeding today. Nice colourful pics. Definitely a yellow theme tonight, including the bees.
Is the market a bus trip away? You are getting out and about a bit more lately.
Tina’s day off, although you can get a bus to Leven but won’t need to tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI didn’t do quite so much gardening but feel like I am making headway.
Will be quite exciting to have the new chair, Tina likes to read on it with her feet up when she has some quiet time so it will be get well used.
