This morning Tina had a meeting at Atwick church and as it is in the middle of nowhere took me along so that I could have a walk down the lanes. Thought I had the phone in my pocket, but it was my purse, so no photos. It was one of the nicest half hours I have had in a while, saw one pedestrian about fifty metres away but otherwise, not even activity in the fields, was like I had been dropped somewhere not populated. It was windy but bright and I wandered around for just over half an hour, really felt like an escapee!
The second lot of interfacing arrived today, but I haven’t been sewing. After lunch I sat in the dining room and coloured a Beatrix Potter card I have had for ages. It is supposed to be painted but I used my lovely soft pencils so you can see the textured paper. Then I did a couple of the black sheets that I have and will make them into cards.
While I was getting my tea I noticed the sun catching a spiders web. The window was dirty and the wind blowing a gale, but did manage to capture it!
Feeling weary tonight and not for the amount of energy I have used today!
I have coloured hair chalks arriving tomorrow, so watch this space!
I really do like the emojis. It’s so good how they actually look like you. I love the middle one with the thumbs up, very good. Hope you get to use them in emails.
ReplyDeleteI bet the little jaunt in the empty lanes was really good. Plus you didn’t get arrested for escaping which is a bonus. It’s awful how something you used to take for granted is now such a nice thing to do for half an hour. Strange times.
I like the Peter Rabbit colouring. Looks really good with the texture showing through. You’ve had a lot of use from those pencils. Definitely a colouring day today. Beats gardening though.
Quite like the first pic of the web. It looks good with everything behind it out of focus. You can’t tell it’s through a window either, particularly a dirty one 😊
Coloured hair chalks. That’s an item that had Jan written all over it!
I am really pleased with the emojis too, so hopefully if no one gets in touch and tells me what I am doing wrong, I will give the app a try!
ReplyDeleteStrange times indeed, it was so enjoyable even though my knee was twinging a bit, we are appreciating the small pleasures more now I think.
I though the one with the out of focus garden worked quite well too.
Hoping the hair chalks arrive and don’t do an interfacing moment on me!
