Had a job holding it steady on that much zoom!
Today first thing after breakfast I wiped the sign in the front garden down and gave it another coat of varnish. It really wasn’t too bad as it has been out for two winters now and if I say so myself, still looking good!
The rest of the day has been taken up painting the summer house, with of course the exception of refreshment breaks! Took a photo after O had done the second coat on the windows in one door and removed the masking tape. It makes quite a difference.
Then another one when I had done most of the windows, leaving the two highest pairs at the side for Tina to do as she is taller!
I got the second coat onto the lower part of the doors and them began to start some filling in. Tina came out in the afternoon and between us the whole thing now has its first coat done. So not a bad days work, and really liking the colour now that it is also blue.
I have watered the garden early and now inside as I have had more than enough fresh air today, in fact I will probably get sunstroke!
The moon pic are good. Even with a monopod it’s not easy to hold it steady with a long zoom. Pity it’s not pink though 😊
ReplyDeleteThe sign has kept well. It was worth putting some good quality varnish on it to start with. It’ll last years!
Very good choice of colour for the summerhouse. It definitely fits in better with the roof now and blends into the garden better. Second coat will be a doddle 😊
You should sleep well tonight after all that work!
We think it is a good choice of colour too, worth the effort to protect it for a bit longer as it has been well used and given me particularly a lot of pleasure.
ReplyDeleteNo mad rush now to carry on but I am sure we will have it second coated before too long.
I was pleased with the moon pictures, may go and look at it again tonight as Lunnysaid it will be pink tonight, not convinced about that one!
From what I heard it’s only called a pink moon, but isn’t actually pink! Be interesting to see if it’s pink tonight.
DeleteI’ll report back tomorrow!
