Seemed like a good idea at the time!

This morning I went out early to the post box, keeping the post office in business! On my way out the out I noticed that the strange thread from the guttering had come low enough for me to reach it. I pulled and pulled, it went right along the guttering, very long. The leaves had become solidified over time, very strange. There really was a lot, I gathered it up as the cats or birds would have got tangled up in it.
This morning I did some household chores, and got some cotton washed and on the line as I planned to attempt making a face mask. I also managed to get quite a bit of ironing done which had been sitting there likening at me for quite some time! There was a delivery while I was upstairs and it was a lovely surprise for me. I really like the caramel lattes and haven’t been to the shop to get any for a while, I usually only buy them when they are on offer. Tina had sent for a box dull for me, 48 drinks I think, that will keep me going for a while!
I did go out into the walled garden for a while, nothing too heavy today, just a bit of clearing and tidying. Even little bits helps to get the whole thing in better shape.

My sister in law said she thought I would be making face masks, it hadn’t crossed my mind but seemed like a good idea. I found a pattern and Tina printed it off for me. I hadn’t got suitable elastic but you could make it with ties. I made a start cutting out some material before getting my tea and watering the gardens,
This evening I have nearly driven myself up the wall. The ties are a fiddle to make and making sure you don’t catch them in the seams is a challenge. But it was getting the pleats right that really challenged me as the instructions were less that clear! I have ordered elastic which will make it much easier but it isn’t due to come for a dew weeks.
The next one will be easier!

  1. The tread is really odd. I’d love to know how it got there, or better still what it’s purpose was. At least you’ve stopped anything getting tangled in it now. You and that post box. Are you sure you’re not having secret early morning meetings with a dark handsome man 😊
The lattes were a great surprise. Nice of the Rev to send for them for you. Perfect for a relaxing drink in the summerhouse while looking at the nice garden and wildlife. I knew you wouldn’t get through the whole day without any gardening, but at least you didn’t do too much.
Making a mask sounds soooo easy. Good job you like a challenge! But it looks good and does the job. Easier to make and wear with elastic, but everyone has the same idea I suppose. Are you just going to stick to making 50 - 100? 😷😀

  2. I imagine a few people will want one, especially if we are told to wear them once going out and about.
Sadly no handsome man, just send all these cards I have been making!
I will try to have just one latte a day. Although I will share the as well, Tina had one with me today.
Best go clear the debris in the bedroom before I go to bed.
