Too hot to be busy!

Today has been an on and off sort of day. Started jobs in the garden, managed a few minutes and then inside again. Did do a load of washing and got it dry and aired out on the line which is always good. I had a couple of letters to post and came back via Countdown and bought some nice colourful plants to put in the large bed round the lawn in the back garden.
I got them into the shade and gave them a good drink. The tomatoes are doing well in the bargain tomato planter I got when out with Darren some time ago. Had some garden tomorrow’s with my tea this evening.
I wasn’t the only one feeling the heat today!
I got tea for Darren and Tina as they had both had busy days and both going out this evening.
After tea I went out to get the new plants into the bed and used a few cans to water the front garden, then the used the hose in the back garden.
Only used the phone for the pics today and have to say I am pretty pleased with this one!

Will try to have a more interesting day tomorrow!

  1. Sounds like an interesting day to me anyway. You got plenty done considering how warm it’s been, plus the evening isn’t over yet, so you’ll do even more by bedtime!
That’s a lovely tray of flowers. So colourful. I really like the red and yellow/white ones in the middle. Seems a shame to split them up as they look so good together.
Always good to have food you’ve grown yourself. Seems to taste so much nicer. I looked for some rhubarb in my garden this evening, but it’s seems to have been overgrown by other things, so nothing worth having.
The last pic is great. Even more so as it was taken on a phone. The colours and the bugs all fit together nicely.

  2. I think we are in for more hot weather, so they may not be much gardening done for a while!
The flowers were lovely and a pretty good price over at Countdown.
I was really pleased with the last photo, may get it printed!
