Talk and tin man

This morning I gave my talk/demonstration at the Living Well meeting. It wasn’t long but the nine people attending all had a go at planting something up and most of the plants and pots I had taken along found new homes. Sarah and David picked me up and brought me home again. I thought I had dropped my keys somewhere and when we got home the door was wide open! I thought Tina had left it on the latch and the postman had pushed it open as the post was on the floor in the hall. We do latch the door going out sometimes as it is a two handed door which challenges our wrists. Anyway, I had to eat my words as I was the last one out this morning!
I went along to the church with Tina and we waited while a man was there doing the pat testing, I had thephone with me so took some pictures of the stained glass.

We went and had lunch at the Beach Hut cafe, the Friday special and it was very nice.
When we came home we managed to get the tin man out into the front garden and I added the finishing touches.
It has been attracting quite a lot of interest, I was watching upstairs when a lady came into the garden and took a picture of her dog in front of the tin man! Later on there was a 50p in the cup which we presume was left by her.
Took the photo through the window from upstairs!
Have watched some tennis and done some watering, so fairly uneventful afternoon and evening.

  1. Glad your talk went well this morning, I knew it would though. Your audience must have enjoyed it if they participated. The door sounds like it needs attention to make it a bit easier to close. You can’t afford to have anywhere insecure these days, even a porch. You can’t trust oiks!
I do like stained glass windows. Such a lot of work goes into them and the always looks so nice. Perfect subject to take pics of. Not bad for a phone either.
I love that tin man 😊 I bet it’ll get it’s photograph taken loads of times. It’ll be famous soon. I think it’s great that the lady posed her dog with it, and left a tip too 😊 You obviously made a grand job of building it. You’ll have to top it next year. You better start thinking what you’re going to make.

  2. Not a bad day at all, and apart from a bit of watering no gardening involved, apart from indoor gardening with the group that is!
I thought the window pics were okay, getting used to using the phone now.
Not sure we can top the tin man next year, , will give it some thought.
