Bit crafty!

This morning I went along to the Living Well group to see if I could lend a hand preparing for their monthly lunch. They didn’t need veg preparation today but I help lay up the tables. It has rained a lot today so no gardening, which is probably a blessing in disguise as my hands were quite troublesome in the night and my knee has been painful today. So a rest day wa just what wa needed.
When I went out to feed the birds this morning I noticed the green gladioli was flowering. I knew I had bought green ones but couldn’t remember where they were planted. Also took a picture of red and white ones as they really are fabulous flowers.

This web was in the door at the URC Hall this morning.
Made for an interesting photo.
I made a card this morning. Cutting that particular die is a bit of a pain, but it is so lovely when it works!
I went for a ride with Tina to Beverley this afternoon, I wanted to get to the bank and she had a meeting. We had a coffee, then we our errands were done we went to Aldi, and is always the way, bought more than intended!
This evening I have done a bit of a painting again, going to try and be arty a bit more regularly,  it I have made those sorts of plans before!

  1. That’s one of the drawbacks of a big garden, you forget where you’ve planted stuff. But it makes for a nice surprise when they pop up. The gladioli are really pretty flowers. I like the red and white together.
The funky web is nice, but doesn’t offer as much protection as a bit of glass!
I can imagine what a pain poking all those bits out the butterfly must have been, but it’s definitely worth it. It makes a really nice card.
Like your painting again. You’ve done a few lately, which is good. I always enjoy seeing them. Definitely a gladioli themed blog tonight 😊

  2. I think I put purple gladioli with the green ones, but the different ones develop at different times.
Quite pleased that I got a bit of crafting done today, will try and be a bit more productive on the art side!
