This very small bug landed on me and I transferred it to a rock.
I really enjoyed it as it was perfect weather, overcast and warm. I had done the daily steps when I got back so sat in the summer house for a bit. Lots of insects about, I love the little hover flies.
A bee too, this thistle I left on purpose as they are great when they flower and obviously very insect friendly.
This juvenile blackbird seemed fully fledged but was actually still being fed by one of the parents.
A sparrow and a better picture of a hover fly.
One more from the back garden, an attractive fungi of some sort.
I went to Skipsea church with Tina as she was taking a baptism service and needed someone to hand out service sheets. Very nice stained glass window in the church.
There was a very pretty and delicate hydrangea in the churchyard, and a picture of Tina leaving the church.
Big excitement this evening, Darren had been at an archery competition at Burton Constable and came back with a trophy for ‘80 yards gentlemen’s recurve’. He will keep it for a year.
A very attractive pewter dish.
I was doing some watering in the front garden and took these pictures on the sea holly out there.
I added the second one as the bee flew off but caught it, more by luck than judgement! Two more garden related pictures, one of a very pretty clematis in the front garden and some sweet peas I cut from the walled garden.
The last Beecham House tonight!
Well that sounds like a pretty good day to me. Not bad weather either by the looks of it. You really do have some great pics again. You get such a selection of different things, whereas if I ever take any they are usually of the same thing. There are so many really good ones on here tonight that I’d have been really pleased to have taken. I think I’ll get rid of my camera, as I can’t compete!
ReplyDeleteWell done Darren. 80 yards gentlemen’s recurve sounds really cool. Great little trophy too. Shame to give it back, so he’ll have to try and win it again next year 😊
An interesting day and I really enjoyed the walk on the beach. Nice to get a bit of variety in the photos, must get to the beach more often.
ReplyDeleteThere were lots of little black bugs on the front which were a bit irritating.
You take fantastic photos so hang on to the camera!
