At the start of the walking trail ther are some huge yuccas flowering. Ours are flowering on the front lawn but nowhere near as tall as these!
I took one picture of the sea, quite a dark horizon line today.
As Iwas leaving for the walk I was called by the man in the second hand shop. He had a nice dressing mirror in the window and wanted £28. I asked if he would take £20 the other day and he said no, but today he had changed his mind! So I came home for the money and brought it home.
I got really tired when I was out, it had turned really hot and sunny by then. I watched some tennis and then went to sit in the summer house for a bit before getting dinner. No animal shots today but tried some really zoomed in shots of the plants.
That last one was at the top of the large apple tree. These are three of the flowers we bought on Thursday. They are very happy in the ground.
After watering the gardens Tina took me for a drive to see if we could spot scarecrows, not a lot around but the flower shop had gone to town.
And the day nursery had made an effort.
We had an ice cream by the sea and now I am settled in front of the tv!
Glad the tin man survived the night. Hopefully the oiks haven’t spotted it yet!
ReplyDeleteNot too long gardening today, which is good. Not surprised you got so tired while out walking, you definitely do too much at times. You need an assistant gardener.
I like the mirror. It looks in great condition and all the better for a bit of bargaining too.
I really like the pics of the flowers. Some great colours. But I like the green on green pics too. Quite artistic.
I’m surprised you didn’t find more scarecrows, but it was a good excuse to go out for an ice cream 😊
Quite achey today and tired, but it did turn very hot in the middle of the day.
ReplyDeleteStill no rain so I expect Darren and I will be off to the boot sale in the morning.
The mirror is I good condition and has the nice lift up apartment at the bottom.
