Some gardening and scarecrow searching!

This morning I shopped quite early, checking the tin man was intact on the way. Then I spent a couple of hours in the back garden starting to clean up the main flower bed. Filled the pink truck a couple of times so plenty of clearing. I decided to have a walk to see if I could spot some scarecrows and took a treasure hunt sheet that I am doing around the town. I didn’t spot any scarecrows and only ticked a couple of items on the treasure hunt form!

At the start of the walking trail ther are some huge yuccas flowering. Ours are flowering on the front lawn but nowhere near as tall as these!

I took one picture of the sea, quite a dark horizon line today.

As Iwas leaving for the walk I was called by the man in the second hand shop. He had a nice dressing mirror in the window and wanted £28. I asked if he would take £20 the other day and he said no, but today he had changed his mind! So I came home for the money and brought it home.

I got really tired when I was out, it had turned really hot and sunny by then. I watched some tennis and then went to sit in the summer house for a bit before getting dinner. No animal shots today but tried some really zoomed in shots of the plants.

That last one was at the top of the large apple tree. These are three of the flowers we bought on Thursday. They are very happy in the ground.

After watering the gardens Tina took me for a drive to see if we could spot scarecrows, not a lot around but the flower shop had gone to town.

And the day nursery had made an effort.

We had an ice cream by the sea and now I am settled in front of the tv!
