Carnival parade day

Steve and Chrissie came early to get the St Nicholas entry for the parade ready. What a great job they did and Dom wa going to ride on a unicycle alongside.

Tina got home and got ready to take her seat in the front.
I went up to the roundabout to try and get some good shots of the parade.

A variety of floats and entries, including Fair Trade.

Majorettes and balloons!

I loved the octopus made from waste from the beach. Another float and then St Nicholas’s was in view.

Still more.

I walked through the town and saw the parade again near the sea front.

Another great waste picture! Then Tina and gang again!

After that I went along to look at the sea, just lovely today.

Last one for today!

  1. And a good day was had by all from the looks of it. The church on the car is good, and it looks as though there were plenty of floats and watchers. It’s really good that everyone loins in like that. Community spirit.
I didn’t realise the octopus was made from waste. That’s very clever.
Glad the weather stayed reasonable for it, although that big dark hanging cloud in the last shots look ominous!

  2. There was some Ron while the parade was going round but it didn’t seem to dampen any spirits,
There were loads of people along all the streets which was really good.
