Mostly clearing up after Wrengate!

This morning I waited for the Ringtons man to call and then went to the coffee morning at the URC to see Sarah and David. I needed to see when it would be a good time for Darren and I to collect a couple of sets of drawers. Had a chat with Sarah and heard the latest disasters they have had whilst having a new kitchen fitted. After that I walked back via the sea front, looking good today.
I made a start on sorting the utility room and the kitchen, it needed doing but more so  wren adventure yesterday evening. We had move everything and ended up with chaos! I have a chair that I sit on in the dining room when I am having a break. Of late I have been usurped! He looks extremely comfortable!
When I had done all I intended to for today I made a drink to go and sit in the summer house, the day took a downward turn when I nearly trod on a dead juvenile blackbird. To say the cat is not my favourite creature would be a serious understatement! Did take a few pics, the red poppy on zoom, makes the backgrounds interesting.
Three pics of the blue tit, not a lot of bird activity this afternoon.

When I planted this blue flower on Tuesday only one bloom was open, it has obviously settled in very happily!
I got some tea and then went out to use a watering can in the front garden and hosed the back garden and the walled garden. Seem to have been busy but not a lot to show for it! Tina bought some plants home so I will try to get them in tomorrow.

  1. You should get a nicely sharpened long stick to encourage the cats not to mess with the birds, or a catapult!
Love the pic of the seafront. Looks very inviting. I could do with some of that myself.
You really are getting to be the queen of zoom. It does some great things for backgrounds, including throwing them nicely out of focus. Large apertures will do the same thing if you’re closer to the subject and can’t zoom in so far. Poppies always look good. Red against green is the perfect combination.
Wish I could say I’ve been busy. But I haven’t. Still feel pooped though!

  2. Sharpened electric stick sounds good at the moment!
The sea did look lovely today, sometimes it looks quite grey.
I am enjoying using the bigger camera, it had been ‘resting’ for such a long time!
