One for sunset lovers!

I won't make apologies but feel for folk who aren't keen on sky pictures, hence the heading, so you have been warned.

Okay, now you can breathe a sigh of relief. I walked up to the studio this morning and had a chat with Donna. I took the little fairy house I had decorated for her to give to Amy, her little girl. The rabbit has turned out really well, the colours are right for a rather old fashioned looking little lady.

There is a little mouse in the same series but she is already brown. I did paint a fox with this finish a long time ago and it turned out okay.
I gave it a good wash and then painted it with a coat of white, I will start the proper painting next week.
Tina collected me at the studio, we went into town, had some lunch and did the weekend food shopping. Then we went and had a look round at the auction house. We did buy some crazy sweets when we were out, bet you will be surprised at the ones Tina got for me!
We weren't in many minutes before we were off to the church where I was on bodyguard duty at a wedding rehearsal. I got dinner and cooked a fruit cake as we are going to a coffee morning tomorrow. My knee has been particularly painful today and the ankle came out in sympathy later in the day.
The autumn crocus plants that I only planted up on Monday are bursting through, they were definitely ready to get going. Not a great photo as I took it through the kitchen window.
Ready for feet up and a nice cuppa now!

  1. Well they certainly make up for the lack of sunset pics over the past few days! Really gorgeous and well worth waiting for. You’re so lucky to see skies like that all the time.
Mrs rabbit has turned out really well and I’m sure the mouse will with a bit of work. You’ll have a nice set with the mole too.
The sweets are perfect for you :-) Almost seems a shame to eat them, but someone has to!
Shame the joints have given you so much trouble today, but even so you’ve managed to get a fair few things done. Hopefully tomorrow won’t be such a busy day.
Those crocuses have shot up extremely quickly!

  2. It was quite light to start with last night, but I ended up taking about 40 pictures because it became so dramatic.
Really pleased with the rabbit, Donna loved it so she is staying at the studio for a while.
The sweets are quite fizzy to start, but I will manage to get through them!
The crocuses were really ready to be planted, just growing so quickly.
