A sandwich of muted skies

Darren and I set off for the boot sale at about 7 am, the three of us had loaded the car up last night ready to go and have a stall today. Where we parked up I could actually see the morning sun which makes a change.

Looking quite like a sunset it must be said, but definitely early this morning. We did well, the weather was good, and we dropped prices as time went on so had very little to take to the charity shop or to bring home and raised over £70 as well, so very worth doing. I didn't buy anything but Darren bought me this cute little ladybird, if you pull the tail out it dances around the table! Darren did spot a very nice chest of drawers and sent me off to have a look, but just as I was about to ask how much it was the lady said it was sold.

Darren needed to fill the car up and we wanted to get something for dessert today so we called in at Sainsbury's. They have 25% off the clothes at the moment, we didn't have a look round but this t shirt was on display near the front of the shop and fell into my basket!!
I counted the money and put some bits away when we got home and then went down and got dinner, a nice chicken roast and the cheesecake we got at Sainsbury's. Today is Christmas cake feeding day, they are beginning to get darker and moist.
The sky this evening has been similar to the morning pictures, a muted cloud covered sky again.

The drama with Benedict Cumberbatch should be good later, just home I can stay awake until the end as I was up at 6 am, have also taken quite a few pills today as the knee and ankle have flared up again.

  1. Those sky pics do look very similar. All of them are nice though. Been looking out here at sunset time over the past few days and not even a hint of colour. One day I’ll shock you with a picture, but don’t hold your breath!
Glad to hear the booting went well. It’s always fun to do specially if it’s a nice day, and you get a nice sausage bap thrown in. Always good not to have to bring much back either. The little dancing ladybird is cute. Darren’s a bit of a softy really :-)
Mmmmm, that cake does look dark and moist now.....roll on Christmas! You should make Christmas puddings too one year. I love Christmas pudding :-)
Enjoy the drama tonight and put your feet up for a while.

  2. Yes, strange how similar the skies were. The sausage bap was good as usual, it was a lovely day and the sale was very busy, people didn't pack up quite so early today.
I did make Christmas puddings once a long time ago, may do again some time.
Feet up time is almost here, just going to make a fresh drink.
