Lots of colour!

Darren and I walked down to the north bay last night, we decided to go early enough to get fish and chips before the motorbike parade. We had to wait for half an hour in the queue, the sky was pretty over the sea.
It was dark by the time the bikes appeared, I got plenty of colour but only one in real focus!

And last of all the air ambulance van bringing up the rear.
We walked home slowly afterwards, so quite a lot of exercise by my recent standards yesterday.
This morning Darren and I made our usual trip to the boot sale. I only wandered a little bit and then sat in the car, still trying to get to grips with the cryptic crosswords! Darren got me a cute brooch.
We went to Sainsbury's on the way back as Darren needed some things for his packed lunches. I saw this t shirt with embroidered humming birds, it just happened to fall into the basket!
While Tina and I were away we spotted this mini jigsaw of the castle.
I got it out this morning, just forty pieces, but they are in wood and very unusual shapes. If you look closely you will see the butterfly, there is also a tree and an acorn but they are on darker areas. It is very small, I have packed it away for now but will definitely mount it up at some point.
I have done some sorting and chores today and also fed the Christmas cakes, have ten of them on the go now so will be needing more brandy before too long!
A new Strike episode tonight.

  1. Love the first pic of the sea and sky! The motorbike pics are funky. It's not easy to capture moving lights at night. You can do it with a flash, but that defeats the object really. They certainly had a lot of lights on them!
I've never seen a jigsaw with pieces like that. It's very unusual. Definitely one for mounting.
I'm ready for the new Strike. Hope it's as good as the last one.

  2. They are funky pics, it was a bit of a challenge! There were lots of flashing lights and music coming from them, and so many, it was fun to see.
