Tina and I took a drive out last night and what a gorgeous sunset!
We took a drive into the country a bit as the sky was changing all the time. I had to stretch up a bit over a hedge for these, but worth the effort!
We drove down to the Sea Life Centre before coming home. much more subtle by then.
My leg was painful in the night, not helped by the cats deciding they would like to keep me company! But it soon settled down this morning and I caught the bus to meet up with Sandy at the studio. I spent a couple of hours cleaning and filling the paint pots and then decided I would have a go at painting the large dog piece. Took a photo just after I had started to use the paint.
I have used pale colours and they will go into the kiln at the weekend.
I was in painting mood by then so started on a salad fork that was one of the special bisque pieces.
Then I got the spoon down as well as I wanted the spoon and fork to be the same colour, and I was mixing it. I haven't finished them so will have something to get on with when I go next time.
It was gone 4 pm by the time I took a slow walk home. Have done a bit more sorting but it is going to be feet up for the rest of the evening. Holby and then In The Dark later.
Wow! Some great pics there. Well worth the ride out to get them. If I had to pick a favourite it would be number 7. But it's really hard to choose between them.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear the joints haven't played up too much today. A break in the pills will really make them kick in well the next time, if there is a next time, you need to use them.
The colouring on the dogs is very subtle, it'll be interesting to see the finished result. The eyes really stand out, I like them. The salad servers are great. I like the little veg on them, very cute :-)
I think number seven is the most spectacular. A great set of skies though.
ReplyDeleteSo far so good with the aches and pains, resting everything now.
I think the salad servers are great, probably as decorations rather that practical.
I wouldn't dare use them. I'd drop one and break it knowing me!
DeleteThey are actually quite big as well!
