After they had eaten the parent flew down, probably to get away from it's very vocal youngster.
There was a lovely sunset again so a few more pics.
One of a distant castle as well.
Before I went out this morning I dragged my bed out, which as it is pushed into a corner that was easier said than done. I am slowly getting jobs done, but my main reason at the moment is tracking down a tube of ointment that I have mislaid! Still haven't found it.
The back garden has become really overgrown, and there was quite a lot of rubbish and containers filled with water. So I spent a couple of hours or so out there, clearing weeds that I could reach and gathering up clutter. Also emptied all the trays and pots, got them dried and have put them in a cupboard so that they don't get stinky again!
I did take sort of before and afters but they don't really show just how much I cleared. Filled the large pink wheelie thing twice and a couple of sacks of rubbish.
As I said, a bit like spot the difference, but I know I have done quite a bit as does my body! Apart from seeing to the cats haven't done much else this afternoon. Watching the athletics now.
Some great pics tonight. Love the series of gull pics that tell a story. Specially the one of the se one parent flying in as the others sit and wait. Very well caught. Lovely sunset again too. The fifth one with the gull flying across is my favourite there. Also like all the bay shots through the trees. Definitely going to throw my camera out!
ReplyDeleteThe two shots of the garden probably don't show all the effort you've put into it today. But I know what an awkward garden it is, so I know you'll have been working hard and will be knackered from it! Enjoy a bit of a rest this evening, and by the way, I hope the ointment you were looking for turns up :-)
I thought the gull series were different. It has been entertaining watching the progress of the chick.
ReplyDeleteIt is hard to catch the glistening sea without it becoming a silhouette, you have to try and get into the shade of a tree!
I will let you know if I ever find the ointment!
