Heavy sea fret

Last night was not a good one, what with the upset about Colonel and then Tina really not being at all well late into the evening. This resulted in us not having a lot of sleep and in my case being awake half the night mulling things over. I thought during the night that I would resurrect the boot today, with great reluctance, but I am getting to the point where it is difficult to walk any distance at all. I did get it out, and Tina had some knee high tights I could use as I had thrown the sock I used to use as a liner away. Well, it had seemed like a good idea at the time, but in the end it just made my ankle hurt more and I tried pumping it up or wearing a support inside, but nothing was really going to work. So I went up for the bus in a pair of backless sandals with a distinct sense of deja vu!
I went to the studio and had a chat with Sandy who told me about her new bungalow and how happy she is there. I didn't clean the pots today but did help out a bit showing customers what to do.
I took a very slow walk home, and as it was very misty, a really heavy fret, I cut through to the cliff top. Took some pictures and made use of the benches for a rest.

The mist has lifted during the day but it never did brighten up properly. Also caught this gull on camera coming down to collect some food left on the road.
Tina got a letter today saying our trip to Scotland on the coach has been cancelled, disappointing and very short notice. We will try and get away for a couple of days somewhere.
Tina didn't go into work today, she is still not 100% well, but much better than she was. We had an enjoyable afternoon together watching Ironside and Quincy. I am flagging a bit now, but have managed not to sleep during the day so will hopefully sleep much better tonight. I have to be at the hospital for 10 am tomorrow to have my ankle x-ray.
Holby and Trust Me tonight, so a definite hospital theme this week.

  1. A pretty awful night from the sounds of it. Hopefully tonight will prove to be a little, or a lot better. Shame the boot didn't help at all, but it's definitely not for the want of trying on your part. Maybe the trip to the hospital tomorrow will show up something on the X-ray. I would think the doctor will have the results in a week or less, and if it shows something obvious up then that's all the better.
Those sea frets do look good when they roll in like that. A really good thing to photograph. You did well catching the gull too.
It's a real shame your trip has been cancelled, but I'm sure Tina will find something to take its place. Scotland isn't all it's cracked up to be anyway :-) That'll probably get you a few Scottish hits on the page!
Hope you manage to stay awake for all your viewing tonight.

  2. I don't feel too bad at the moment and will get myself off straight after the second program.
I think Tina will sort something out for a trip when she feels a bit better.
