Sea and skies and even boats!

This morning Darren and I went along to the boot sale, our usual Sunday morning jaunt. I took the crutches today and after our breakfast I only wandered for about twenty minutes. I did buy a cd by Curtis Magee, he is an Irish country singer and it has bits of 49 songs on it. The guy was playing it when I went by and I was singing along! I went back to the car just after 9 am, the view from the boot sale is really rural and it was quite clear today.
The cars were queuing to get into the sale, it is extremely popular and gets very busy.
We went on to Darren's archery meeting afterwards, but I stayed in the car and listened to the cd, it lasted for over an hour. There were some grasses blowing in the wind behind a fence.
I did get out of the car to take a picture without the rails.
We stopped for a sandwich on the way back and I got another cd, this time Shane Filan, I have listened to that one this afternoon. I wrote some letters but was being tempted by the beautiful weather outside. I used the crutches again and just walked up as far as the cliff top. Not sure it was a good idea but I enjoyed half an hour or so sitting out in the fresh sea air. There were boats in the bay, I think it was life guard training as they stayed in the same area all the time I was there.
A couple of pictures of the bay.

The clouds were lovely, doesn't have to be a sunset to be a lovely sky.

Watching the tide coming in I was intrigued by the way the foam seemed to be stripey. These were taken a little while apart so the tide is further in on the second one. The people left on the beach would soon have no sand left!

There is a nice sunset this evening, I will post a couple of pictures tomorrow. Making the final Christmas cakes in the morning, I will be glad that part will be finished.

  1. Sounds like a pleasant morning with Darren, even though you did spend a lot of it in the car! At least you had new music to listen to, and things to photograph. Glad you got out again this afternoon to see the sea. It would have been a real shame to have sat in the house on such a lovely day. Hopefully the crutches are helping you get around without so much pain. Although I'm sure they must make your arms hurt instead!
Some lovely sky and sea pics tonight. Love the one of just the clouds in the sky. Great pattern to them.
Hopefully you don't have too many cakes to make tomorrow, and at least the feeding of them isn't quite so bad.

  2. The clouds can be lovely, and over the sea there seems to be a bigger expanse of them, I suppose it is just an optical illusion but it works for me!
Yes, the crutches to make my arms and hands ache!
