Ruffled feathers!

A few more sky pictures from last night, it went from dramatic to really clear.

Tina came up and spotted the plane trail in the last one. Not that I need that much encouragement to take pictures of the sky!
My ankle is no better, in fact I think it is getting more painful so I phoned to try and get an appointment with the doctor again. I did get an appointment and saw a different doctor who listened and has sent off the form for me to have an x-ray. He said it could be an after surgery fracture but did not think that the pain was being caused by infection. Hopefully the x-ray appointment won't be too far away.
I haven't been out on my own today but Tina and I did go to The Mere, taking duck food with us, but we had a sausage sandwich before we fed them. Far more swans around us than ducks and geese today.

Quite a lot of aggressive behaviour today as they fought each other off! The wind was strong and coming off the lake so the swans had ruffled feathers which made for different shots.

We called in as Lidl and Sainsbury's to get some essential shopping. I watched some catch up tv this afternoon and have made sure my bedroom is ready for the arrival of the new furniture tomorrow.
Darren is home this afternoon and they have been watching a film. Darren started a new job this week and has been learning to drive a fork lift truck this week. He has passed and is now qualified, so well done Darren.

  1. Great skies as usual. I'm back to bland old normal ones now. Not taken any pictures today at all, although I did actually take my camera with me, which I've not done for a while. Hopefully I'll see something worthy of a photo soon.
The ankle really is getting bad now :-( At least you seem to have seen a doctor with some idea of what the problem might be.
Glad you at least got out for a while today. The swans look like they're appreciating the food! They don't know you only went for the sausage bap really!
Well done Darren. Another string to his bow.......I know, I'm not funny!
Hope the furniture arrives ok tomorrow.

  2. Taking the camera out is a good start. It does make you try and look at things a bit differently.
The swans and other geese kept picking on one particular goose so we were fending them off so that he/she did get some food without having any more feathers removed!
I have pretty much forgotten what the furniture looks like now!
