Will start with skies again, not too many.

This morning I decided to try a day without the painkillers to see if they actually make any difference. Also thought it was time to give myself a bit of a talking to and just get on with things and not worry about whether I will or won't improve. Got up pretty early and fed the cats before I went off to catch the 7.32 bus. There were families in the pool this morning, but I still managed to enjoy my thirty minutes. The sun glistening on the bay was great when I got there but it is hard to capture.

I took a slow walk into town, took a picture of this clock in a shop window. I like wooden clocks best of all, but this seemed a novel way to make one that was very tatty look very different.
I got a few bit in town and caught the bus and was home soon after 10 am. Helped Darren get some washing out on the line and then we took a trip to the tip to get rid of some shredding, two sacks full, in fact. I did a bit of sorting out indoors and then spent an hour or so tidying up the front garden, Darren had mowed the lawn so a bit of pruning a weeding.
Not done a lot since, if it stays bright Tina and I will go and admire the sunset a bit later.
When I was out the front the baby seagull was calling constantly. It can fly now but I don't think it can feed itself yet!

  1. The second sky pic is my favourite tonight, and I like the second 'glistening' pic too.
The clock is lovely. Looking closely it is an old chiming clock case and the mechanism has been changed for a quartz one. That one is obviously done with ceramics, but I suppose you could do it with decoupage too. I'll have a look what I've got in the loft, I had a few old cases up there at one point.
Good of you for trying a pill free day. I hope it works for you, but if you have to start 'popping' them again then so be it. I have to admire you for coping with all the problems that ankle has given you. I'd have given up a long while ago, but as you know I do tend to give up easily!

  2. I thought you might like the clock, I thought it was a novel way to make something unique.
So far so good with the lack of pills, I think the night and how I feel in the morning will be the real test.
Been out to see the sunset to night, fab skies, more pics tomorrow!
