The sky was nice but not quite as striking last night. No sunset tonight, grey outside and just started raining.
I have had a day in today, pottering and sorting, really feel like I am making headway. I had pretty much given up on the ointment and the one I did have was empty, so I ordered another tube. Carried on looking though, and within half an hour found it wedged behind one of the table legs!
I made dinner for Tina and I and we watch The Last Leg on catch up.
There are some nice flowers in our garden and next door, so thought a few bright pictures would brighten things up. A hollyhock, a traditional hydrangea, an unusual rose and a lace cap hydrangea.
Haven't taken a picture of all the bonsais on the stand for a while, easier to get one now that I have tidied up out there and moved the other plants round a bit.
I watched on of the Marilyn Monroe films this afternoon, The River of No Return. A western with Robert Mitchum, and I really enjoyed it, I had seen it before many years ago.
Watching more athletics, it has been a good summer for sport. Talking of sport there was a cricket match today and we had to close the window to watch The Last Leg because the announcer is very loud.
Mike is coming up for a visit tomorrow, hoping this rain doesn't decide to stay for too long.
You won't get any decent sunsets now for a few days. It knows I'm on my way up there :-) The flower pics make up for the grey sky though. Very colourful. The bonsai trees look very green too. Not seen them for a while, but they seem to be flourishing. You've done extremely well with them. While I think of it, I was talking to Kim the other day and she said to tell you that the plants in the pots you gave her are all still doing very well.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing you all tomorrow.
Fingers crossed that we get some sunshine.
ReplyDeleteI thought the flowers made a nice change.
I am quite attached to my little trees.
