Shashi the sheep!

Yesterday when we went shopping Tina got me some flowers, beautiful bright colours again.
A couple of pictures of the sky, one muted colours behind one of the resident seagulls and the other when sunset had set in.

Was staying in this morning ready for the new bedroom furniture to arrive. It fitted in the gap I had left very well, as it had been guesswork and I couldn't remember the size. Very pleased with it and I have now filled the drawers and just have to get rid of the old stuff.
I have mentioned the sheep footstool more than once, and today, I think because Tina knew that my painful ankle is getting me down, she came home from town with the sheep as company!
I have ummed and aared about the name, definitely a lady, was looking at lists of names and settled on Shashi, which has Hindu origin and means moon or moonbeam. I liked it. so that is her name now.
I went to the Victorian tea party at the church with Tina briefly. It had begun to rain which was a shame for them but it did bring more people into the church. It had brightened by the time we were coming home so I took a couple of pictures.

Tina had shown me a video of a different way to make lasagne, well, not that different but not anything I would have thought of. I had also watched a program on tv where they were making lasagne and had used red wine. I have never really cooked with wine so I used some of each idea. I will put a series of pics, they don't really need commentary.

The video had used more bacon so that it almost formed a case, but it was tasty so we may be having it again some time.
Looking forward to the athletics tonight.

  1. A very varied blog entry this evening. The new furniture looks nice. Well worth the wait you had, and the estimation of the size was spot on! You have a very good eye for that sort of thing.
The lasagne looks gorgeous, and I may well need you to send me the recipe for it! The bacon around the outside is a great idea. Can see I'll have to make one before too long. It would work well for smaller 'individual' ones.
As for the flowers and the sheep, the flowers were a lovely thought by themselves, but the addition of the sheep is just such a lovely thing to do. I bet you were gobsmacked when you got it :-)
