Nice to see you, to see you nice!

A few pictures of the glen later, hence the title, I haven't walked there in weeks if not months recently. But firstly some sky pictures, wouldn't like to disappoint, although no real sunset tonight so tomorrow might be lacking as well!

This morning Tina took me to town and let me out at the hotel. I enjoyed my swim, a few families in but they weren't too rowdy so still enjoyable. I couldn't find my ankle support before I went out but at the moment wearing socks and the winter crocs seems to be the best combination. I did a couple of jobs in town and then caught the bus home. Got some washing and chores done this morning. Then I wrote some letters and cards so had a bundle to go and post. I had decided I would try to get to the glen as I haven't been there for a while, even got duck and squirrel food ready.. When I got to the park it was closed as it was time for the naval warfare battle, so I make a slow walk down to the front. Not overly busy considering it is August, but a good number of folk around.

I then made my way to the park, took these geese on the way to the glen.
Didn't feed that many ducks and geese, did feed these two, and when I got to the glen there were very few squirrels about, too many children and dogs I think. But the glen was as lovely as usual and it was really nice to sit and enjoy it for a while.

One more picture as I came back round the lake.
I struggled a bit getting home, but that was a pretty long walk by recent standards, even if it was at snail's pace. Ankle and knee have settled down though so no harm done. I am going to the studio at some point tomorrow to clean and fill the paint pots, Donna is working on her own this week.

  1. Can't decide on the first or third one as my favourite sky tonight. Worth waiting for from last night though :-) I won't report you now!
North bay is always a bit quiet, specially compared to South bay. I know which one I'd use! Looks like a lovely day though, nice blue skies. It was nice here too, but picture opportunities aren't quite as abundant. The park is always beautiful regardless of the weather, but a bit of sun makes its extra special. Love the pic of the duck and it's reflection. Not often you get the water to be still enough for that. Glad you made it there. Strangely enough Margherita asked me today if you'd been there lately, and I said no because of your ankle.
Enjoy some studio time tomorrow, but take it easy.......not that you ever do :-)

  2. I really liked the one with the duck as well, I was sitting enjoying the peace and it was just sat there. It was a lovely day out, and we haven't had that many lately.
No sun or sunset tonight I am afraid! It will be good to catch up with Donna tomorrow, she doesn't usually work Tuesdays but Sandy is off this week.

  3. I hope I get up there again before too long so I can take some pics in the park myself.
You'll have to find something different tomorrow to replace the lack of sunset.

  4. Time to take that short train journey and take photos in a different place. I am sure I will think of something to take photos off, as long as I remember the camera, forgot camera and phone when I went swimming!
