Happy birthday Anya.....

This morning Darren took me to the station so that I could start my journey to go and see Anya and spend time with her on her birthday. The first train was packed as there were people of to York races and Leeds festival, but I was safely in my seat so all was well. The second train was much quieter and Louis came to the station to collect me when I got to Peterborough. First stop was back to the house, Anya was very pleased with the cake stand, but probably more pleased with the cake! I spent about an hour making postcards with Isobel which was fun. I had bought a silly own hat for Isobel when I was out with Tina yesterday, it was a hit! Mum had to wear it for her birthday picture....
Isobel enjoyed the joke!
Then of course tried it on herself.

We then had a drive out to Burleigh where we were going to have afternoon tea.
Isobel and Louis went over to a tree, they were a little way away but I managed to get a couple of pics of Isobel in the tree.

Before tea arrived Isobel and I went out to look at the pond, passing some pretty dog roses.

After that we drove back to Peterborough, dropped Isobel and Louis off at home and then Anya took me to the station and saw me onto the platform.
Took a couple of pictures of the clouds from the train.

Then this one when I was waiting for the taxi back in Scarborough.
Had a cup of tea with Darren and Tina when I got home and then came up to my rooms to relax after a very enjoyable day.

  1. I very busy, but very nice day by the sounds of it.
Have to say that hat looked better on Isobel than Anya :-) The fourth pic is really nice of Isobel wearing it. Not been to Burghley house for donkies years, but remember it being a nice place. Bet the afternoon tea was nice.
The cloud pics from the train are really nice, and I knew you'd have to take at least one in Scarborough :-)

  2. I almost talked myself out of making the trip at one point, but so pleased I did go and had such a nice time with them
We weren't at Burleigh long and I didn't get a good view of the house, maybe another time when I can get about easier.
