I have given this post a heading because it would probably be a good name for the blog while I am living here! A couple of sky pictures through the rain to start with today.
Then as the sun re-appeared and the sky started to change.
This morning I caught the early bus into town so that I could go to the hotel and use the pool. A few people in today but I still enjoyed my thirty minutes in there. I had a bit of time before the bus home so wandered down past The Grand to the south bay.
Took a picture of The Grand from a different angle.
I caught the bus home, sorted out the swimming stuff and then went out to catch another bus to go back to the studio. I spent about three and a half hours painting the salad servers, they are lovely but very fiddly to paint. They will go in the kiln along with the dogs on Saturday this week.
My ankle was a bit sore but I managed a slow walk home from the studio, Took a couple of photos of the hydrangeas that are changing colours now.
I have sorted through some photos this afternoon and then tidied up a couple of drawers in readiness for the new bedroom furniture arriving, which will hopefully be quite soon now.
Yes, that would make a great title for the blog, at the minute. I can't imagine you getting such a good view wherever you end up moving to. You'll be so sad, and you'll miss that seagull :-)
ReplyDeleteI love the salad servers. They really are cute with all the mini fruit and veg. I can imagine it be very tedious to paint thought. Good job you have plenty of patience. They should look great when fired.
Those drawers seem to be taking an eternity to arrive. You'll have completely forgotten what they look like by the time they get there, so it'll be a nice surprise for you.
The sun has gone into hiding tonight, don't miss many nights though. I will miss the seagulls being so evident, I am in the minority liking having them around.
ReplyDeleteI do hope the servers will come out well, I am pretty sure they will be quite striking.
The drawers are a vague memory now, I think the drawers are quite big. Be a nice surprise, unless they don't fit in the room!
You'll need to find a nice place on the wall to display them. You can't have a lot of spare space on them these days though. You definitely need a place with more wall space, and drawer space too probably.
DeleteThe walls are a bit overwhelmed at the moment!
