Yesterday evening I trimmed all 42 squares by a quarter of an inch all round. Just a little pile of trimmings!!
Did a little more calligraphy practice as well, without the lines, just to see how it goes.
Today the weather has been awful all day so apart from having Darren take me to do some grocery shopping and a quick stop at the wool shop. She had none of the wool for the cardigan left, so if it gets finished it will have black trim! This morning I was sorting through all my sewing stuff and getting it a little more organised. This afternoon I thought I would finish the second sleeve of the cardigan, kept going and did the fancy edge, then sewed the thing together. It is a funny shape and I a not sure it will get finished or worn. Maybe finished as it has taken me so long!!
Nothing else to say really except I am looking forward to the second episode of Shetland.
Aww ... Shame about not getting the wool especially all the hard work you have put in.
ReplyDeleteCalligraphy look great, your writing is excellent anyway. Cleaver lady.
Not good wether here wet and windy.
We are looking forward to Shetland.
Keep warm xx
Nice and cosy here, trying to pick up the stitches round the edge but may give it up as a bad job for today! xxx
ReplyDeleteThe cardy looks good to me, but I know nothing :-)
ReplyDeleteI teally like the calligraphy, tried to do it myself and failed miserably! I blame it on being left handed.....or maybe not. Three of us looking forward to Shetland then.
It looks like a cardy, but is very wide with peculiar sleeves! Have the cat again even though I said 'no' very firmly!
