After breakfast we went off to Sewerby Hall and Gardens, lovely bright morning and the wind had dropped. When we arrived the car park was very icy and covered in hail stones! The hall is a handsome building and even more attractive in the lovely sunshine.
Walking through the grounds this one has Mike, monkey puzzle trees and hailstones!
There were a couple of huge monkey puzzle trees and the bark was fascinating.
Someone had drawn a face in the hailstones!
I love the fountain in the walled garden.
We spotted this cute fairy door!
We enjoyed looking round the house and of course both had to try on hats!

After leaving we went across to Snainton to have a look around the wood supplies store, hopefully Mike will be inspired to make some more pens! Mike pulled off the road on the way to let me take a picture of snow on the hills.
Then the sun going down as we left the wood store!
We cooked tea together this evening and are now settled down for a night of good tv. Watching the fun driving challenge at the moment!

  1. I would recommend Sewerby Hall to anyone. A really nice place, lovely staff, and ridiculously cheap to get in! All in all, it's been a great day, and I had a really nice time. I obviously look a total plonker in the hat, but the one you have on suits you :-)
