A grey miserable and mostly wet as well day! I stayed in all morning continuing to try and sort my re-arranged bedroom. I have a couple of bags for the community centre and one for the charity shop ready to go. I have a long way to go but feel like I have made a dent in reducing the belongings. I took a picture through the lounge window, still have the stained glass coloured panels that Rachel and I did months ago on the window!
I spent a bit of time downstairs and prepared dinner for this evening. Then decided to get out in the back garden and do something about the muddy mess on the path, as we really couldn't venture out there without getting smothered.
The mud was really thick in parts and I had to clear the drains of leaves as well so that all the water I was throwing down had somewhere to go!
Anyway, not perfect now, but much better, if we have more rain at least it won't turn into more mud now!
The guy that repaired the wall suggested that the evergreen bush near the wall should come down, so decided to get started on that as well.
Now it is almost gone!!
I sorted out the food cupboard then as I had a delivery coming from Sainsbury's. When Tina came in she asked if I had been out, I said only in the garden, so she took me down in the car to look at the sea, which was choppy and very foamy this evening. We had a drink in the car while we watched, that was a lovely way to round off the day. The delivery has been and is put away. Will be watching the new episode of Midsomer Murders later.
Hard work today then, but at least you've achieved stuff, and watching the sea from the comfort of the car, with a cuppa, is a good way to end :-)
ReplyDeleteYes, think it helped make the most of a miserable day. Always good when you feel like you have achieved something!
