Took another picture of the magic bean yesterday evening, still going, and looks like it will get a second set of leaves.
I started cutting out some small pieces in different fabrics in the evening to try and use some odds of material by making patchwork animals. Have been trying to sew them together this evening and it may be finished! This morning I went with Darren and Tina to have breakfast at Sainsbury's and we all did some shopping. They were getting provisions for going away for the weekend and I just got some basics to keep me going. Will be sleeping in their bed for the next three nights to keep the cat company! I walked down to the hut, had a drink there and read for a bit. All empty now and I was giving the key back today. So, empty hut, pretty much.
Then a last couple of shots from the front of the hut across the bay.
This afternoon I went to the crochet group and we had a nice chat. I am back to the blanket I started at the moment. Tomorrow they are having an open sewing session so will take the quilts along to see where I go next with both of them. Back to trying to sew a squirrel now before it ends up in the bin! Death in Paradise later, and must remember to put the bin out......
The bean is growing well. My chilli plants are about a centimetre tall now, and all four have come through. All I need to do is remember to water them!
ReplyDeleteSad the hut has gone, but you can always take a seat and sit in front of it in the summer. If there's anyone using it they'll soon get used to you :-)
Hope the squirrel goes well.
It's good the chilli plants are growing, fingers crossed. The less sad about the squirrel the better!!
ReplyDeleteA sad day for you giving the key back, You have used the hut well for the time of year. I'm sure you will still be down there at every opportunity, Good luck with the sewing. Xx
ReplyDeleteYes, did feel a bit sad, but like you say, I made good use of it while I had it. xx
