This morning was a grey start again but I decided to walk to Sainsbury's, taking the shopping trolley and maybe walk home too. I began to rain on my way, but not too heavily.I did walk back with the shopping as well, the first time I have walked both ways in quite some time. I had an hour indoors and then decided to go down to the beach hut and have a drink and a snack there. That was good as usual although the door is still difficult to lock. I walked back through the park and I took a couple of pictures of the dead hydrangea heads as I think they are still very attractive.

A robin hopped in front of me as I was heading home and luckily stayed still for a couple of minutes!
When I got home, as I had sorted out the small gate leg table, I decided to make a start on the Charm Pack quilt that I had the materials for but didn't attend the course. This one involves having 64 5 inch squares to begin with. I had some in a pack but had to cut some more.
You had to sort these into 32 pairs and then cut them down into three strips and mix them up to make two striped squares.
I got them all paired and cut so now they are ready for sewing together, that will be a bit fiddly. First thing is to sew each of the squares then presumably start sewing the squares together, but I haven't got the second work sheet yet.
I went to Tesco's this evening with Tina, as she was getting a big shop, the first one since Christmas. No real plans but to sit in front of the box this evening, may do a bit more crochet.

  1. The dead flowers against the rippled water look good. You definitely have an eye for a good composition. You are also very lucky, ad that robin wouldn't have sat there long enough for me to get the camera out and take a picture!
There's such a lot of work in those quilts. It seems daft that you start with big bits of material then cut them all up and sew them together again :-)
