This morning was a bit dull but dry when clearing some of the mess in the garden seemed like a good idea. I didn't take a picture of how it was as couldn't be bothered to go up two flights of stairs again to get the camera! But there were a lot of planks actually on the garden, or should I say mud bath, felt and plastic sheets and general chaos as you looked out of the back window. It smelt awful too, but think that was the layer on mud on the steps and stuff still all over the beds. Looks a bit better now,can still see the remains of the shed at the top of the garden!
Darren and I loaded up the car with bags of rubbish from the garden, a box of broken glass (from the shattered windows of the shed) and quite a lot of stuff from the house including three bags of shredding, then went off to the tip, of course, by then it has started to rain slightly! When we got home I had received a message from Sandy at the studio saying she had a little gift for me if I was passing. So I thought I would pop in and see her, cut through to the cliff top on the way. It had suddenly brightened up and didn't really feel that cold, and the bay views were lovely.

Had a chat and cup of tea with Sandy, no customers in the studio when I was there. The gift is a cute little cushion with a camper van on it. I had painted a van at the studio before Christmas so I think that made her think of me when she saw it.

When I got home a dvd I had ordered from America had arrived. I had it on video tape many years ago. 'Frank, Liza and Sammy - The Ultimate Event'. Have watched it and thoroughly enjoyed it, brilliant! May do a bit of patchwork in a bit, then again......

  1. The garden does look a lot better after a tidy up. All ready for a new shed to go up, and hopefully not roll downhill again :-)
The bay pictures are very nice. I like the light.

  2. The light was beautiful today, turned dull again in the afternoon. Fingers crossed the shed stays put next time.

  3. You are brave to get another shed, fingers crossed all goes well. You have worked so hard since moving in, such a shame. Very thoughtful of Sandy to think of you with the cushion looks lovely. The photos of the bay are very attractive, great colours.

  4. Will need to let the garden dry out a bit before I can do anything else to it. It is a pretty little cushion.
