Went into town this morning as the cheap shoe shop that does wide fitting shoes had said they would get a pair of shoes that I liked in black for me today. I called in at the craft shop on the way by as Sandra was busy getting ready for a class. She gave me the instruction sheet for last weeks session of the raggy quilt, I thought I had done everything but now have to trim all 42 squares by a quarter of an inch all round! Walking back I was watching the gulls and pigeons of a chimney a good way off. Had the less powerful camera with me but you could still make out the birds.
The shoes seem fine but I have only worn them indoors so far. I made a start on trimming before I went out again to the crochet afternoon. I have almost finished the second sleeve of the cardigan but think I will run out of wool before the edgings are done. Will go to the shop tomorrow and keep my fingers crossed they still have some. When I came home I made a start on the trimming!
The 'magic bean' is still growing and the leaves will maybe make an appearance tomorrow!
I have done a bit more calligraphy practice, have nothing in mind to write, but enjoying getting back into the swing. Will try and trim the rest of the squares tonight.

  1. You've managed to fit a lot in again today!
The bean is doing great. The chilli seeds you gave me are just starting to show through, so hopefully I'll remember to keep watering them, and not kill them off!
The calligraphy is extremely neat. Wish my handwriting was a quarter as good. I'm wondering why the nib and cartridge are sitting separately to the pen?
