That crazy magic bean is still growing and looks pretty strong at the moment.
This morning I took the trolley and walked to Sainsbury's to do a bit of shopping, I was going to look in a curtain shop that I had been told had great bargains of ex samples. It is closed on a Saturday, but was on my way so I didn't make a special journey. Turning into Sainsbury's I took a good look at the building over the road and thought it was an attractive one. There is a chemist in the basement which seemed quite unusual too.
I called in at the sewing shop as I needed a pair of good sharp, fairly small scissors to clip all the seams on the raggy quilt. The man in there is fascinated that I like spiders and was very pleased to see me as they had some new, very attractive spider material in. I bought some, haven't decided what to make with it yet, will take a photo of it tomorrow. With Darren and Tina away I have to have a cat nursing session every time I have been out! I shut myself in the bedroom for a while after that and finished layering a quilt I started months ago, also started the quilting stitching. Then I went off up to the craft club to attend the final class of the raggy quilt course. I started the clipping and in nearly two hours have only done a couple of rows!
That shows some clipped and unclipped edges! Back home and another cat cuddle (he is actually on my lap again as I type) then locked in the bedroom again to finish the stitching on the jelly roll quilt.
I now have the instructions for the charm pack quilt as well, so plenty to be getting on with!! Looking forward to The Voice tonight.
I'm surprised you've found time for anything while cat sitting, as I know how much attention he seeks! The quilts are looking good though. The raggy one will take an eternity having to cut around all those edges. Bet your hand aches after doing that for a while!
ReplyDeleteIt did, the scissors had really marked my thumb too!
