Yesterday evening I did another lino cut, makes quite a mess so have cleared everything away for a while now. I had a couple of people interested in some notelets, Tina had same better paper so have printed some off today. Also of the latest one, a butterfly.
I am fairly pleased with this one, I am still learning how deep the cuts need to be to get the right effect. While I was pottering yesterday evening I was playing music and the dvd part of the tv went on the blink! Darren and Tina had swapped tvs with me when I came here as my previous one didn't have the dvd facility. Anyway, they said they would replace it for me today. Darren and I went out to Curry's first then to Sainsbury's where we got a Blaupunkt 24 inch. May sound small but it is actually the biggest tv I have owned! Last week I got a Now tv box in the sales and this afternoon I have watched War and Peace on the tv (I watched Endeavour last night). The picture is really good.
I am listening to an audio cd on it at the moment and the sound quality is pretty good too. Big thanks to Darren and Tina.

The notelets will be great. Shame I don't do a great deal of writing, or I'd order as set with the castle on :-)

ReplyDeleteYou have great kids, great they got you sorted quickly. Strange our T.V. Recorder/ D.V.D. Player is playing up. Really I think it's me. Got it stuck on HDD and can't work out how to change it. The book is not for ageing people. Might look at the t,v. Box. As I know there not too expensive. Your photos look good.
