This morning Mike arrived just before 9 am, he had a good journey apart from getting behind someone in a four by four doing 20 miles an hour! Darren and Tina joined us for breakfast at the local cafe. A bright, dry day today but a good day forecast for tomorrow as well. So that meant the Sea Life centre today as it was a school day so it wouldn't be too crowded. In the end, perhaps not such a good move as the money off voucher was just out of date and then half the centre was being renovated! They did give Mike a voucher for a free visit later to be used by June, so hopefully he will do that and get his money's worth! Did take quite a few pictures, they make a change from the sea. Two sea urchins which were in good light so fairly clear.

I loved the jellyfish as usual and the way they light the tanks with different colours.

One of the weird shell creature!
Seeing the penguins outside on a bright day meant for a lovely clear picture.
The glass edge of the seal enclosure was making a refraction on the ground, which intrigued me at first until I realised what was causing it.
One of the seals through the glass, but not bad considering!
We went and had hot chocolate in the hut and then walked into town. Had a coffee and delicious egg custard tart in Boyes, had a wander round and then made our way home. We have had fish and chips for tea and will be watching Shetland later. Off to Sewerby Hall tomorrow.

  1. It's been a great day. Lots of nice fresh sea air, and the trip to Sealife was good. Well worth the money to get in, specially with another free visit included!
Good food too, and good company :-)
