Another hedgehog house!

It was a cold, bright morning so we went off to the boot sale, reasonable busy today. We were pleased that our usual eating place was open today, hasn’t been for a few weeks now. We had wandered most of the way round when we saw the man who makes the hedgehog houses, I bought a smaller one to be the eating station.getting to be like a little village on the garden now! The morning was made better as skeins of geese flew over, my favourite sight and sound.
I got this box outside and have left some food where I have left it previously and another dish with some in inside the new house.
After lunch I went out for a walk to the front and of course had the sketch book with me! Very busy down there again, it was a lovely sunny day.
I went onto the beach and sat on a greyness and tried to sketch those steps. Got a splinter in my finger when I brushed the sand off the ground, that is quite painful now.
I liked these chimneys on the way home!
Seen the Strictly results, Chris wasn’t in the dance off. May put a handful of pieces in the jigsaw now!

  1. You’ll soon have a hedgehog town in the garden. They’ll be inviting all their mates round for a feast 😊 It’s great they’ll have somewhere warm to go.
I’ve not seen geese flying over like that for a lot of years. It’s a great sight and a nice sound. Very cheering.
It has been quite a nice day today. Quite a bit of sunshine. It’s good to see people making use of the beach while it’s nice. I really like your sketch. At least living where you do you get some nice things to draw. A seagull on the sea wall would be good, but they probably don’t stand still for long enough 🙂
I really do like the last pic. I’m a sucker for silhouettes, and it brings Coronation Street to mind!

  2. Well, have done what I can, hopefully we my have a hedgehog decide to hibernate in one of them this year.
The steps looked good with the sun behind them and I quite like a perspective challenge!
I like silhouettes as well, just walking along the road at the right moment.
