Change of plan

We often have. Trip out when Tina is off, but this week she was going to be heading for Mirfield today, and I was going to visit Jean today instead of tomorrow as I will be covering the shop for the day. Tina hasn’t felt too well for a couple of days so decided not to go today, but have a restful day indoors. I went along to the banking hub this morning after I had checked the hedgehog food. Then I went to check the dustbins with the bird food supplies in. I haven’t been feeding them for a while, the ongoing leg problems are my excuse, not a very good one! I bought a new bird feeder at the boot sale weeks go so I got that out and put seed on the bird table, also hung some fat balls out. Haven’t seen birds on there but the squirrels were soon back on the bird table and fat balls. The crows did appear to clear up the seed the squirrels spilt on the ground!
Some lovely late blooming flowers in the very weedy garden.
I left to walk to Jeans earlier so that I could do a sketch on the way. She lives near the sea front, it was busy there today.
It has been a lovely day but the wind had a chill in it. I did manage a sketch before visiting Jean.
Jean was brighter today, getting back to doing things for a short time. She insisted Terry drove me home.
I have done some washing, but nothing much else. Looking forward to a day in the shop tomorrow.

  1. A change of routine every now and then is good for you. We all get set in our daily routines and I think it probably make the time go by quicker, which isn’t really a good thing! I hope the Rev is feeling a bit better now. Is she still planning on a late visit to Mirfield or is it off for now?
Bet the squirrels were very pleased to see you putting food out. The birds probably were too, if they got a look in that is 🙂
Even a weedy garden produces some lovely colours. The flowers are lovely.
Glad to hear Jean is a bit better. Onward and upward.
The seafront looks almost summery with all those people about. Can’t see any mad surfers though.
Another really nice sketch. Don’t tell me…..5 minutes in the wind, standing on your head 😂 Jealous…..moi 🤣

  2. I want to get back into the habit of putting some bird food out again, nbut not the quantities I used to. I have kept the bird baths topped up with water through the summer. Birds, squirrels and even cats have been seen up on the table for a drink!
About ten minutes but just sitting in the wind this time!
