Visit and workshop

This morning I did the usual trip to the shop then came back and fed the Christmas cakes before going to visit Bel. She felt a bit better today and she made the drinks herself, but did let me carry them through. I took a picture of a tree stump on the way.
After I left her I went to Boyes to see if they had any cake carriers. I should have had enough but there are a few in Peterborough, and a couple not returned up here as well!
I bought three more and then went out to sketch the tree stump, from a slightly different angle I think. Allow me some artistic license!
After lunch I was off to the parish hall for a workshop. It was botanical painting with inks, very enjoyable. We all did three paintings and Rob, the instructor, framed out favourite one. Pictures of my efforts.
Before dinner I went out to top up hedgehog food and bird table. Quite a nice sky.
TV tome now!

  1. Pleased to hear Bel is feeling a bit better. She'll be doing it all herself before long. I really like the pic of the fungi, it always make a nice subject. I used to go looking for it myself. I think the sketch of it is very close too, even if it is a slightly different angle 🙂

The workshop results are lovely too. I think the yellow one is my favourite too. I won't try to guess what it is as my horticultural knowledge is virtually non existant. I think I definitely spot pansies in one of the others though 🙂

Very nice sky. Any sign of the hedgehog?
