Another surprise

I was reading up about hedgehogs and found that they don’t eat where they sleep and having a safe ‘eating station’ so this morning ai went out to clear the original hedgehog house. It was full of leaves and grass and was a bit damp on top. I started to remove it and after a couple of handfuls it felt warm, and then I realised there was a hedgehog in there! I actually said sorry and closed the lid quickly! No idea if it is the same one and it was a surprise because we have had that box for about three years and it hasn’t been used before, I have put fresh food and water out this evening and hope I haven’t scared it or them away. If we go to the boot sale on Sunday and the man is there again I will buy a small one as a feeling station.
I went to visit Bel as usual, she said she was a bit wobbly so I was allowed to make the tea today. She had a doctors appointment this afternoon to check her over.
I popped home briefly to collect my bag and bring home a jigsaw that I had borrowed. Really looking forward to doing it.
I went to the URC church, had a drink with Sarah and David and looked round the beautifully refurbished building.
Then I walked down to the se front to see what to sketch today. Walked quite a way along and did go down onto the beach. Two sea pics and one of the sketch.
I was very weary when I got home today so haven’t done a great deal. I have put fresh food and water out and am hoping that it is gone in the morning.

  1. I do hope the hedgehog(s) haven’t been scared away. I’m sure they’d come back anyway to a nice house and lots of food 🙂🦔
The jigsaw should keep you amused for a while. I can’t decide by looking at the pic if it’ll be an easy or hard one.
The church looks very nice. I like the pic you’ve got from a bit higher up, it shows it off well.
The beach looks very inviting today. Almost deckchair weather! But looks can be very deceiving 🙂 The sketch is really good. I do love that sort of subject. How far through the book are you?

  2. Will see in a bit if the food has gone, wet out so maybe that would have encouraged them to come back.
The church is really lovely now, I was in a small room upstairs which now has a lift rather than steep stone stairs.
The book has lots of pages, not a quarter of the way through yet.
