Spot the birdie!

More explanation of the heading in a bit! After the Ringtons man had been and a bit of looking at the jigsaw I went into the front garden so clean up the path that leads along to the garden bin. Plenty of leaves and the couch grass was taking hold, so with more wet and icy weather likely I thought I should make it a bit safer.
The fungi on the tree stump are flourishing, worth keeping that stump!

Some digging and hoeing and after an hour or so the path looked a lot better. I know the couch grass roots are still in the ground, but at least it is checked for now.
I had a delivery of a sack of peanuts and got that down into the greenhouse and transferred the nuts into containers. I also decanted a sack of suet pellets  that I have had for a while.
Tina is feeling a lot better and suggested a trip up to Mappleton this afternoon, it was surprisingly quiet in the car park, which gets ever nearer to disappearing into the sea! We walked down the steep slope and onto the beach some pics, one that looks odd but it does have the moon!

Now for the heading explanation. There were a couple of tiny birds on the beach, one was down by the sea washing something it had found on the beach and the other one was scooting around a bit nearer to us. The zoom on the phone isn’t great and to start with I thought I had missed the little guy completely! But he is there, you may have to zoom a bit!!

We went for refreshment at the little cafe there and I took a picture of the church before returning to the car.
I WILL finish the puzzle but I must have spent an hour earlier to attach about four pieces to other pieces and no idea where they go n the puzzle!
Will probably go to the leisure centre in the morning, I am sure the water walking is good for me…..

  1. The path to the bin looks a bit better now, so the bit of exercise doing that was well worth it. At least you didn’t go mad and spend all day out there tidying. I love to see fungi growing on old stumps. They always look so edible, but I’ve no clue which are poisonous so never push my luck trying them. They look better in a pic though than in my stomach 😊
Those birds are so spoiled. Nut, suet, meal worms, caviar……
Glad that the Rev is feeling better today and you both got out for a little while this afternoon. Wonder if the fisherman were having fish for their teas tonight?
I found the bird in both pics after a bit of searching. It was well camouflaged amongst the pebbles.
That’s a nice pic of the church. Lovely light on it.
Those puzzle bits look as though they’re all turned over and they’re the backs to them! Good luck!
I think the water walking is going to do you good. Gets you out early in the morning to see those nice skies a well.

  2. It was a very lovely light up there this afternoon, the church really stood out as we left the cafe.
That was enough gardening as my wrists are aching a bit, so small chucks is the way to go.
Puzzlegate will go on for a while yet!
Glad you spotted the little bird.
