I did a bit to the jigsaw, mainly finding more plain pieces! I have two extra trays for pieces and Pandora curled up on one of them and kept me company.
After lunch I sorted out several boxes of yogurt jars and put them into my shopping trolley. I have been saving them with the intention of cleaning them and maybe filling them with buttons to sell at a craft fair. But I will never get around to it, and they are taking up a lot of space. I walked up to Tesco where there is a bottle bank but sadly the bottle bank was full to overflowing so I brought them all back home again. I will put a few at a time in our recycling bins.
I was feeling pretty tired after my second walk so rested for a while before getting on with dinner. I went in and out of the dining room to see if I could do any of the puzzle. I enlisted Darren to help, he soon gave up on the blue and white and decided to start elsewhere. He was still finding it challenging. The picture gives an idea of just how much blue/white there is.
It is the start of the Pottery Throw Down tonight, the contestants usually make some amazing stuff.
I know getting up at 6am isn’t fun, specially with the hand causing it, but it’s nice to get down to the sea early and see the sunrise. Lots of photos is good. I really enjoy looking at them. I really like number 10 with the sun just catching the ramp, and number 11 is just lovely. Even I’d consider getting up early for those.
ReplyDeleteShame you didn’t have much luck with the bottle bank. Sounds like everyone had the same idea. A New Years clear out!
That puzzle really does look a nightmare! I think Darren had the right idea by going to the “easy” bits. You’ll be glad to see the back of that one 😊
The Throw Down is good as usual.
Throw Down was good, a very talented group this year.
ReplyDeleteIt is good to get to see the sun rise, that is quite late at the moment. Haven't done the early morning walks for quite a while, not a bad habit to get into.
I think the puzzle will be on the go for quite a while.
