The doctor came in to talk to me about three thirty and said it would be a while as I was last on the list today. Got gowned up and was back to waiting. I think my quiet time away helped me to keep my mind occupied! Almost five when I eventually went into theatre. The injections were not very nice and the tourniquet to stop bleeding was quite uncomfortable. The procedure only took about fifteen minutes and then stitching and bandaging. They made me a welcome cuppa and soon after that Tina arrived to bring me home. She took the first picture, I have to keep the arm elevated for two days to prevent swelling.
I took this one of the bandaging with great difficulty!
The numbness hasn’t worn off yet so not painful, but I have pills if I need them.
That was a long old wait, but as you say your time away was good practice for it. I think it’s amazing you got it done so quickly with all we hear about the nhs at the moment. Fingers crossed, mine as it’ll probably be easier, that it isn’t too painful when the numbness wears off. I hope you find it easier to sleep with than it looks.
ReplyDeleteMake the most of being pampered for a while, it won’t last forever 😊
I like the canvasses by the way. You definitely need to try something similar. They’re very funky.
Take it easy, if you know how 😁
Really feeling positive so will follow instructions and enjoy the rest for a bit.
DeleteThat’s very good to hear. Hope you keep to it 😊
