On a side street there is a dog supplies shop that has a ‘stick library’ outside for people to use and return, some funky wet weather clothes too!
I had a drink and rather delicious meringue at the cafe at the rear of the antique place. They have a lovely garden that is sheltered.
The town was scarily busy, will be steering clear of Saturdays from now on. I had a bit of time before the bus so sat in the memorial garden by St Mary’s church, I was the only one in there. I was looking at this building and it has very strange markings, noticeable if you zoom in. I do get attracted by the odd things in the world!
I have spent a lot of the afternoon trying to get some tidying up done, my hand has become a little easier so I can pick light items.
Have watched Strictly and now giggling at The Wheel.
Glad you managed to get out for a little trip. I suppose at this time of year Saturdays aren’t a good time as all the loonies are out buying everything for Christmas! Stick to mid week, it’ll be safer. I do like markets though as you can get some good stuff. The stick library is a great idea 😄
ReplyDeleteThe place you had the snackette at looks really nice as does the actual snackette. Calories don’t count on weekends so that’s fine.
I had to smile at your comment “I do get attracted to the odd things in the world” because it’s actually the odd things in this world that seem to get attracted to you! It’s that flashing neon light you carry about on your forehead that does it 😂
Sounds like the hand is progressing well. Don’t go mad with it though, you don’t want to wear it out again!
That made me chuckle too, it is a definite skill of mine!
ReplyDeleteI was good to get out for a bit, then a bit of pottering indoors, the best way to not overdo it!
