A trip to the garden centre!

Not being out and about and passing garden centres I hadn’t realised they have been open during lock down. When I realised that they are I asked Tina if we could go to one on her day off as I would like some bedding plants. Timing it had become a bit difficult as the Ringtons man comes in the morning and a man from the diocese was coming here at twelve to meet up with Paul the builder to discuss the repairing of the wall Luckily Shane, our Ringtons man came early and we managed to get away before ten. We went to the garden centre at Skirlaugh which is only about fifteen minutes drive away. Got quite a few plants and a couple of different bird feeders, the trolley was quite full!
We drove back via the sea and there was a parking spot at the far end where we don’t usually manage to get a space. I only got out briefly to take some pictures and nearly got blown away!

The two new feeders are out in the garden now, will be interesting to see if they are used, both are for dried mealworms.
This afternoon I attached the binding to the table runner and have now sewn in all the loose ends so it is finished. I have added a close up of a corner to show the stitching.
Took a photo of the church when I was putting the fox food out. The sun is setting in a different position now, will be interesting to see the changes as the year goes on.
Today is a National Proposal Day!
Will finish with a picture of an unusual cloud formation in Peterborough, thank you Anya.

  1. I wouldn’t have known Garden Centre’s were open either. I didn’t know do-it-yourself shops were open until a week or so ago. Looks like you made up for not going to the garden centre for a while. Your barrow is extremely full!
It doesn’t look very rough in your beach shots, in fact it looks quite a nice day.
Blimey, your greenhouse looks like a wildlife food distribution centre! No wonder the wildlife love to visit your garden.
The finished runner looks very nice. The edging turned out really well, and the corner looks good. And the best part is that I’m sure it was a lot easier than sewing it by hand.
I like the idea of a series of photos of the church throughout the year. I’m sure you’ll notice a lot of difference in the sky. The church is becoming your new aerial 😊
That’s a great cloud that Anya caught in that picture, and I missed it, damn! Too busy furtling or sitting in my chair!

    1. Not a bad day at all, nice to get a job completed that ai started a couple of weeks or more ago.
Had more bird food turn up today which ai will decant into containers tomorrow!
The sea wasn’t nearly as rough as we were expecting it to be, think it was because it was an off shore wind.
