This display was outside a hairdressers and not a florists, very attractive.
I got a great book in the Oxfam shop, have started reading it already and it is very interesting.
At Lakeland I got some stuff that will be useful when decorating the Christmas cakes
I had a drink in the antique centre and didn’t buy anything for me but did get some earrings for Tina.
I caught the bus home and read a bit of the book and did a couple of puzzles in a magazine. When I went out to put the fox food out I noticed the fungi are growing well!
Tina drove us up to Mappleton this evening as it looked like it would be a good sunset. She took a picture unbeknown to me when we arrived.
Some more pictures from Mappleton.
It was a lovely evening.
You do have some very varied days. Today looks like it was a particularly good one. It’s good that you’re wanted to get out and use the achey legs. A lot of people would give up and not try. Beverly is a nice place to go and if you had money off vouchers to use then all the better. Like the card clock in that shop window. A clever idea I may have to steal in some form. Watch this space, or my space at least 😊
ReplyDeleteQuite a nice little haul of goodies you got. Can’t believe it’s nearly Christmas cake time again. I know it had been for you for quite a while, but I’m talking about eating it.....always such a chore.....not!
Any success on identifying the fungi you keep spotting so you can give it a go on toast?
Mappleton really does look a nice place. You have some great pics tonight, but I really love the last one. It’s a really great pic.
I was glad I got out again, I had slipped into a not going anywhere routine if it involved walking, so will keep it up as long as the legs don’t rebel too much!
ReplyDeleteBeverley is a lovely town, nice twisty streets and individual shops. And of course a great antique centre!
We were glad we made the trip to Mappleton, good views of the sunset from there.
