I have had a pink garden cart for years, it is a bit cracked in the base now but has given such good service that I have been thinking I will make it into a planter rather than take it to the dump. This morning we both went out into the garden, Tina worked on the driveway, she did a fantastic job. I hoed the front bed and then planted out about twenty geraniums. After lunch I got set to and cleaned up the pink cart.
I sorted out some paints and brushes and made a start with the painting. I have a small selection of paints and some of those are drying out. I had greens so ivy it is! When I was painting Pandora got in the seat behind me, she jumps on this seat if I move to go to the loo or make a drink! This time she just moved in with me!
I had to mix a green and then had to mix it a second time as I couldn’t finish what I had drawn. Finished for today but will add different greens and maybe yellow., and I have browns for the stems.
Have managed to find some more Ghana photos so will finish today’s post with a couple more.
Glad you’re slowly getting back into the real world again. I’ve not really tried it yet, but I bet it seems strange going into big shops. I’m sure we’ll all soon slot back into society again once this is all over in a few years 😊 Mind you, it’s probably better for you to stay at home, well cheaper anyway. Popped out for nuts....£70 later! Funky hoe. Looks like a golf club. The old cart will make a good planter. Waste not want not.
ReplyDeleteDo love the Ghana pics. I wonder if the animal drawings are still on those walls? I wonder if that nice lady is still in the room they conned you into painting for her? 😊 Great story that. Makes me smile even now 😊
Good memories of Ghana, something I am so pleased I did.
ReplyDeleteThat blind lady was pretty old all those years ago, so doubt very much she is still around.
It is strange being out, more so because it is still pretty quiet everywhere in the town.
I hope the cart will look attractive when I have finished the painting.
